Joseph Micketti LMT, NMT

Joseph Micketti, LMT, NMT, has been fascinated by the human body since his high school years. He began his career in the medical field as an X-ray technician after earning a degree from Northern Michigan University. While working in hospital settings, he developed a deep appreciation for the healing power of touch and the role of a person’s own life force in the healing process.

In 1986, Joseph graduated from the Boulder School of Massage Therapy and began working at the Colorado Chronic Pain Clinic in Colorado Springs, where he was introduced to neuromuscular therapy through an apprenticeship. He became certified in Neuromuscular Therapy (St. John Method) before moving to Southern Oregon in 1989.

Joseph has dedicated his career to continued learning and hands-on practice, with ongoing studies in Neuromuscular Therapy, Muscle Energy Technique, Myofascial Release, and energy medicine. He spent 30 years as a staff member at the Ashland Institute of Massage, where he helped educate and mentor future practitioners, and retired from teaching in 2024.

Outside of his clinical work, Joseph is deeply interested in permaculture, sustainable living, and alternative energy systems.
